Constraints can facilitate creativity
Planning rules and a narrow site dictated the form of this house
The planning constraints and views generated the basic form and layout of this home. The client wanted to maximise the views out to the Hauraki Gulf and so we used compression and expansion of the spaces to vary the journey and excite the senses culminating with an angled ceiling in the living area to direct the eye to the view.
